hw' 1 y eomvtata, aaa 5 . 2. L - a -3 Freshman Class History UR expectations of High School were certainly great after hearing weird stories of initiations and jokes played upon the Freshmen. No Freshman dared venture alone on the first dread morning so we came in small groups. Upon reaching the High School we found that the students were assembled in the auditorium. Mr. Markely made some an- nouncements and told us there would bc no school the rest of the day. VVe were dis- appointd not to have our classes the First day, talthongh since then we would gladly miss them.l After assembly a Freshman class meeting was called in the gym. Mrs. Nordgren and Miss Mau were appointed our sponsors, Our class elected the following officers: EDITH CLAYTON ------ President JOHN POTTER ------ Vice President GRACE IJUYLIC - Treasurer FREDA CANNON ------- Secretary lCl.IZAllliTll UNISON - - - Roundup Reporter Our expectations were fulfilled at our initiation when the junior girls came out in overalls and showed SOM IC pep. For about a week afterwards you could see clipped heads in the halls of the school building. The Freshmen have taken part in many school activities this year. The football banquet was well attended by the Freshmen, and we are proud to say we have good material for the coming years in athletics. The Sophomorcs surprised us with a very excellent party. The junior Prom which was one of the most talked of school affairs was quite a novelty to the Freshmen. The lfreshmen girls won second place in the tiirls' Basketball Tournament. lfive lfreshmen entered the :Xcademic Contest held March fourth. Two of the Con- testants who received the honor of going to Laramie to compete with the contestants from all the state were lilizabeth Gibson for piano and Grace Edwards for debating. VVe hope to accomplish much more in the coming years, ifl,lZAl5ETH GIBSON. IEIJITH Cl..'XY'l'ON, Freslnnan Banquet P
