NYhere, oh where. are the Studious Sophoinoresf' ICS, here we are-all of us, NYe shed the verdant hues when we entered this institution with its stately halls of learning last fall. Instead we took the title of Studious Sophomoresf' Do l hear you softly laughing? XX'ell. in case of douht ask our heloved instructors. Our history you ask for? NYhen we were wee little lirst graders we little dreamed of the trials of high school days. Hut our lfreslunan year rolled around and we entered the great hnilding to he lost among the many Sopho- mores, juniors and Seniors. Our lirst Class Meeting was held in the Study llall with the other classes looking in at the door and making fun of us. llespite all of our hardships we elected Dorothy Mctfall, president: llellmert King, vice president: liarl Scott, secretary, and George l'ollock, treasurer. Then the hard work began, for a year we struggled on with Latin. linglish, :Xlgehra. Science, and various other subjects too nmnerous to he mentioned. 'The Sophoinores gave us a party, of course, that must he returned, and it was. XYhen the last day came we all rejoiced-the lfreshman year was over! This year we entered the huilding with a lighter heart, and-the olticers were elected with clearer minds and less trouhlc: .Xrthur Reese. president: llelen Corbett, vice president: l'auline l'eyton, secretary: Rachel lfntz- minger, treasurer. and on the Social Committee llradford Call and llorothy McCall. Margaret Mel'lierson was elected Class Reporter hut when the paths of California claimed her it was necessary to appoint someone t,who?l in her place, NX'e gave the Sophomore and lfreshman party. t'onnnittees were appointed for the refreshments and entertainments and everyone did their share to make it a success.
