Hall decorations: inspiration preparation and anticipation Hall decorations roused addi- tional enthusiasm and involve- ment from the student body in the Homecoming class competi- tion. The imaginative, clever exhibits resulted from much planning fused with dedicated sponsors and student council members. The entire contest came to a climax at the Home- coming pep rally when Mr. Winn approached the microphone to announce that the Juniors received first place for their Walt Disney display. After a 9-3 season, the Conroe Tigers and their backers boogied at Victory dances after home games. J.R. Brass and Rio played at many of these dances held at the Y.M.C.A. gym. High- lighting the year, Hudson and Harrigan, KILT disc jockies, hosted a disco dance for CHS students. There was a great response and turnout at these dances as students rejoiced over the Tigers ' many victories. (Above right) Hudson and Harrigan took a break before changing the record.
