if W s Paint Parties Pep-per ■it 77 Season Splashes of paint added the spice to ' 77 spirit. Each class gathered weekly at paint parties to prepare their illustrations for Friday morning pep rallies. This year ' s preparations included col- orful ideas displaying each class ' s originality and effort. In keeping with tradition, students painted each other, raided lower classmen ' s parties and got acquainted with other students. The mixture of original ideas and artistic abilities accented ' 77 paint parties. (Far above) Freshmen, Jamie Maddox, Chuck Gstol and Jeff Pace showed their artistic talent at hall competition as well as at the paint parties. (Above) Sopho- more Susan O ' Neil shook her paint to prepare before painting a sign. Winjose, ortie. . . ' Conroe Tigers never die In winning all their district games, including the most important one to Cy-Fair, the Conroe Tigers retained their well-earned reputation, many times disproving predictions of football critics and rankings. As m years before, many fans turned out to support the Tigers at away games as well as home games. Conroe Tiger Stadium was ' filled to overflowing with many of the loyal backers. Despite a heartbreaking loss to Piano, the Tigers and their coaches pointed their 1 ' s at a great bi-di strict win over Temple. Not even bad weather could dampen Tiger spirit, for it never dies — win, lose or tie. (Above right) New band uniforms added an extra highlight to an already spectacular per- formance. (Above) Tigers Rollie Dumas, Calvin Kelow, and John Conwell expressed the deep feelings felt after the heartbreaking loss to Piano.
