Young Life provides a basis for new friendships Although still fairly new around Conroe High, Young Life's membership grew rapidly this year. Through this organization, members were able to participate in many activities, one being a trip to Colorado at Christmas time. 1Above leffj Randy Phillips, guest speaker, related many of his experiences to the listen- ing audience. Spirit flowed through Conroe High as the mighty Tigers fought their way to another I6-AAAA championship. After suffering their only loss to Bryan earlier in the sea- son and a near miss tie with Westchester the Tigers were to represent District 16-AAAA again. Scared by their first loss and backed by thousands the Tigers stepped up to Bryan only to be defeated for the second time. The victory stopped but the spirit lived on. fAbove rightj Debbie Woodman sparkled in one of the many Golden Girls performances. fAbovej Cindy Stowe and Terri Nowak supported the Tigers with cheerleading spirit. fRightj Debbie Buckalew and Jenny Holmes performed before thousands at Kyle Field.
