SCHOOL BOARD Jai Seated, Left to Right: Mr. W. A. Reed, Dr. C. S. Campbell, Mr. E. E. Whitmoyer, Mr. Lawrence Weaver, Miss Carmel Caller, Recording Secretary, Mr. Emerson Swink, Mr. Robert A. Beard, Mr. C, V. Payne. Standing, Left to Right: Mr. Harold F. Kelly, Mr. Charles E. Enos, Mr. W. C. Mellott, Dr. Joseph M. Foreit, Mr, Hunter J. Kalp, Mr. John W. Harbough. The school board of Connellsville Joint High School can be looked upon by the students, teachers, and residents of the difterent districts, with respect, grati- tude, and admiration for its work toward a better school system for our students. Elected by the people from nine different school districts, these representa- tives meet once a month to decide on the issues which confront a school and the way it functions. This same group will make the decisions, enact regulations, and conduct the business concerning the construction of the new Joint School Building. We feel that Connellsville School Board has the qualities of a well governed body. They have excelled in doing more and more for the students and our community. 4

DEDICATION MR. MARLIN W. HARTMAN To a modest and devoted teacher, who gives of his time and patience freely, we wish to dedicate this 1955 edition of the annual Coker Yearbook. The many pictures taken every year of school activities, and random scenes are a token of the untiring efforts he puts forth to make every edition a better yearbook. Thus, we, the Yearbook staff, would like to pay tribute to Mr. Hartman to whom we are greatly indebted for the unlimited time and advice that he freely gives to us. 3
