He is also Chief School Administrator for the Johnstown Vo-Tech, Chairman of the Conemaugh Township Christmas Parade Committee, and a member of the Conemaugh Township Rotary Club. His hobbies include sports. He has been with the school system for nine years. Robert F. Harris is the Administrative Assistant. His hobbies include model building, reading, and sky diving as a spectator sport. Mr. Harris commends the Hcooperativeness of the community, students, and the staff to accept changes and improvements. He is in his second year with the school system. Mr. james L. Herdman is the High School Principal. His hobbies include reading. Mr. Herdman says, Of the many assets Conemaugh Township has, the most outstanding is its people. He has been with CTAHS for six years. Mr. Richard M. Matey is the Assistant High School Principal. He enjoys bowling, golf, and reading. I like Conemaugh Twp. Area High School because everyone here works together in upholding its reputation as an excellent high school. He has been with CTAHS for three years. Administration 11

The school board plays a great part in the present and future at CTAHS. They are the ones who make all the important school decisions. Here are some thoughts of what some of the members think about the students and CTAHS: CT's the greatest-the best administration, the best teachers, and the best students anywhere. john Chobany CT's a place where everybody is comfortable with everyone else. Lowell Shaffer I think we have one of the finest schools in Pennsylvania and the finest student group. Robert Valentine The members of the school board are KFRONT ROW, L-Rl: Mr. Robert I. Valentine, president, Mr. john Chobany, district superintendent, Mr. Donald L. Stover, Mr. Michael B. Springer, secretary, lSECOND ROWJ: Mr. john P.K. Miller, vice-president, Mr. William Degory, Mr. Lowell Shaffer, Mr. Wayne A. Kauffman, Mr. Charles R. Pipta, treasurer, and Attorney Eugene Fike II, school board solicitor. Absent: William Pebley. These three seniors are so close with their fathers that they want to come to school with them, but actually their fathers are dedi- cated school board members. Like father, like son, are Mr. William Pebley and his son Bill, and Mr. Michael B. Springer and Craig. She enjoys camping and hiking. What she likes most about CTAHS is, the students. v NW' :itil OXXN- ,i.?. MISS DEBORAH TELENKO is the secretary for the District Superintendent. She is a 1972 graduate of CTAHS. She enjoys bowling, sewing, music, sports, and taking care of her plants. MISS LOlS WILLIAMSON, who is Mr. Matey's secretary, has been with this school system for thirty two years. Her hobbies are ceramics, reading, photography, and growing flowers.
