In their trail-blazing times, the pioneers put their Q hopes, dreams, and their very souls into their endeavors. 1 'X I And so we must do. Leaving high school has always been a momentous occasion, yet in this year of strife and indecision it becomes even more so. Only those of us who are strong in our convictions and brave enough to work hard so that we may never lose sight of our goal will get ahead. lt has been said that school can be measured best by those who are taught in it. Our class, the class of 1974, has already begun to prove their abilities and responsibilities for leadership and success. We have shown this by working toward a number of achieved goals. Some of these were our magazine cam- paign in which we earned 54,8003 the sophomore Christmas Dance, Christmas in the Park 3 the production of our Junior Class Play, Here Come the Brides and our Senior Class Play, To Blush Unseen. One of our finest achieved goals was our Junior-Senior Prom- Moments Precious and Few and this year's Valentine Dance. We owe a lot of our success to our deans-Mr. Shank, Mr. DeBiase, and Mr. Kirkwood, last but not least our dedicated and outstanding class officers. It is our wish to extend thanks to our beloved teachers for helping us achieve our goals and dreams. So at last, we have finally reached another milestone on the road ahead. We only hope we can face our new life with con- fidence, faith and tranquility. How could you not like football practice w these three smiling gentlemen to coach y itll OU se, Miss Elizabeth J. Will is one of the finest persons Conemaugh Township will ever see. She has devoted many long and hard hours to help the forma- tion of this and many other yearbooks. The Editors and the Staff of the 1974 Connumach feel that these people deserve outstanding recognition since they are very special to us all. 'R Those of us who were privileged enough to work by her side found out what kind of a great person she really is. Her friendship and dedication was an inspiration to all. We, The Senior Class, feel profound gratitude to Miss Will for her unselfish and kind acts that helped produce the 1974 Con- numach . Curtis Greninger Robert Kelly Ernest Trexel These three teachers have watched our school form from its seed and grow until now. They have witnessed the downfalls of this school but more important they have watched this school gain recogni- tion and respectg they all have outstanding characteristics which are known to all. We will never forget Mr. Greningers' Elmer and Zelda , or Mr. Kelleys' Zub-Zub , or Mr. Trexels' World War ll stories, and their fine examples that urge us on to the halls of better learning. This school will truly miss these wonderful teachers. We hope our future teachers will live up to these three great teacher talents. 139 BEST WISHES to The Class of 1974 from PEOPLES BANK AND TRUST COMPANY Jennerstown, PA LIGONIER VALLEY BRANCH Laughlintown, PA SOMERSET MALL BRANCH Somerset, PA Free Parking-Night Depository Drive-In Banking-New Modern Facilities WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD FREE CHECKING ACCOUNTS FULL TRUST SERVICES AVAILABLE Member of Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation ICKES INSURANCE AGENCY Since 1906 General Insurance 415 Main Street Phone 629-5607 Boswell, PA Best Wishes Class of '74 From Jack Lyberger's UNIVERSITY MUSIC Compliments of POORBAUGH LUMBER CO.
