The 1972 Mountain Conference Champs posted a perfect 9-0 season. It was the first undefeated team in almost two decades. Jack Freeman, President of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown was the guest speaker. Musical entertainment was provided by Enid Stahl and the senior choir members. Mr. Iames L. The concert was held on Friday, April 13, 1973 at 5:00 p.m. and directed by the experienced hand of Mrs. Carol Schonhardt. Music for the affair was provided by the Kin- dred Spirit. This year's theme was Color My World with Love and turned out to be a huge success. 1 Q. Majorette Contest On March 30, 1973, the majorettes of C.T.A.H.S. captured the se- cond place trophy at the annual majorette contest at the Cambria County War Memorial. The squad also participated in and won second place in a majorette contest at Martinsburg on April 21, 1973. The members ofthis year's fantastic squad are Janette Rullo - head, Michele Weismiller, Sally Smith, Sharon Smith, Debbie Fisher, Judy Risch, Susan Rudge, Cindy Sambor, Debbie Naugle and Lisa Snyder. The track team had a lot of potential this year but, as in years before, just couldn't put it all togetherg but when they did win, they showed they had ability. 'Il Joe Morelli Paul Holsopple Eugene Thomas Coaches Dave Liska and James Anthony Track Doug Springer Bill Good Basketball Playoffs The Basketball Team climaxed a fantastic season this year by almost breaking into the semi-finals. They trounced Everett by the score of 56-37 and edged by Bedford by the score of 53-50 for the District 5 Championship. Then next they surprised everyone by beating a WPIAL entry for the first time in Township history by the score of 102-79. With momen- tum they met Cornell, but they proved to be too much of a challenge for the mighty Indians of Township, who lost by the score of 64-48 and therefore ended the best season ever in our history.
