SSE 3 Our hardworking Senior class officers: Qfrom leftj President, Bill Lease: Secretary, Mary Bickleyg Vice-President, Dick Kimmelg Treasurer, Pat Kapitan. CLASS OF ,72 The Class of '72 has been known to do the unexpected. Take, for instance, the magazine campaign in ninth grade. Although nobody came right out and said what was expected of us, we sure surprised everyone when we came out 33,000 short of our goal. We regained some of our status when the Christmas dance was over. Most Christmas dances have been known to lose money, and ours was no different except we didn't lose much. Then came our Junior year and our great Junior Class Play. NHeadin' for the Hills broke all records! We had the play two nights with a dance following the Saturday evening performance. We cleared S1400 altogether. Not bad, huh? Two months after the Play was the Prom. Because of the play, we were well off financially, so no one had to pay to get into the Prom. During our Senior year, our major project was the Senior Class Play. Web of Murder proved to be one of the funniest dramas Township has ever put on and, needless to say, it, too, was a success. Even though they said it couldnlt be done, we did it and we're proud of it. 2 ww 5' za 261 .k' 'Qp. ww Margaret Lynn Agnello MARGY Patricia Joy Allison TRISHY Private Secretary, Business Business College, Secretarial Education,StudentSecretaries. Herdman High School Principal DEGREES: B.S.-Pennsylvania State University M.Ed.-Lehigh University Graduate Work-Lafayette College, Lehigh University and University of Pittsburgh TO SENIORS: The goal of helping each individual achieve his unique character is indeed one of great proportions. None but a free and responsible people working to- ward a magnificent destiny would attempt it. It is the schools of this land which must largely assume the responsibility for pursuing and developing the special talent and character of each individual. Education should prepare people not just to earn a living, but to live a life-a creative, humane, and sensitive life. It is my hope that the graduates of 1972 have received this kind of preparation from our schools. May happiness and success crown all of your efforts and may God bless you. In Memoriam and Appreciation The thoughtful services and friendly spirit of Mr. Robert Fasola t Mose J will be long-remembered by those who have learned to know him as a real friend. Beneath a brusque exterior manner there was a kind heart, he could be said to personify l.incoln's famous words: With malice toward none, with charity for all. His pleasant, practical attitudes towards life have given many a C.T.A.H.S. pupil the desire to continue his education and preparation lor a worthwhile future. He kept in touch with numerous graduates through correspondence and mailing of the CONTOWNIAN and programs, even sponsoring social events at his home for college students at vacation periods. Former pupils will miss these important links with their homes, school and community. Since Mose worked after regular school hours, not all pupils have had the opportunity of learning to know him. Those who have, however, know his willing- ness to listen to their problems, his wise advice, and his concern about everyone. The choir members will remember his annual banquets for them as the P.O. staff will recall the ever-present candy for their refreshment. His influence in the daily lives of all has been evidenced in the cleanliness and neatness of the second floor rooms for which he was responsible. t'Mose created the atmosphere necessary for successful teaching and learning by always being concerned about the appearance and maintenance of his rooms. We, then, in his memory should dedicate our- selves to continuing this concern so that our school will always present a favorable impression to all who use or visit it. To the CONNUMACH staffs from l96l to the present, Mose was an in- terested and alert semi-official advisor. He provided the facilities required for the specialized activities of a yearbook staff, encouraged members to keep working to meet deadlines and offered many helpful hints. These contributions have meant much to all associated with yearbook production, so it is with a deep sense of loss that this page is added to the I972 CONNUMACH in memory, as well as in ap- preciation, of Mr. Robert Fasola. Miss Will, Mr. Volk, Mrs. Statler, and Miss Romano deserve a lot more than this little thank you. They had to put up with all the little troubles that we came to them with, and were most understanding when we needed help. Another big thanks should go to Mr. Herdman, Mrs. Thomas, and Miss Williamson. Without them we would not have been able to schedule all the club and classroom pictures, and eventually have them taken. Of course, no yearbook would be possible without photographers. Cover Studio and its staff were most cooperative. Almost at a moment's notice they were able to be at our disposal. Mr. Thomas Roles of School Pictures, Inc. was responsible for all the wonderful underclass portraits. Mr. Robert Keith, the area representative for Inter-collegiate Press, our publisher, and Mrs. Frances Nagorney, the home office staff member, are to be commended on a job well done in helping to get us started with the yearbook, and in having the yearbook back to us on time so that the students would have it before the school year ended. We hope we haven't missed anyone, but if we did, we're sorry. All we can say is a big, THANK YOU!
