A I .-.ALA DEDICATION We, the class of 1965, dedicate this twenty-seventh edition of the Connumach to the community. More important than our heredity is our environment, for we are the products of it. The things we see, the places we go, and the people we meet make us the people we are. Our homes, our churches, our schools, along with the geographical location of these, help us to distinguish good from evil, the beautiful from the ugly, and the important from the trivial. Our earliest influence came from our home and family. We shall always remember our grade school days-our schools, our teachers. High school gave us fond remembrances of faculty members, of facts they taught us. Our churches also have continued to mold our character. We look to these with pride. The natural beauty of our surroundings-the forests, the hills, and the streams-make us proud of our community in Pennsylvania. For the privilege of being part of such an environment, it is with a deep sense of appreciation that we dedicate this book to our community. TABLE OF CONTENTS PERSONNEL Administration . . . DRENNER University of Pittsburgh, B.S., M.Ed.p Graduate work at Susque- hanna University, Howard University, Juniata College, Oak Ridge Institute of Nuclear Study, University of California, High School Principal. To the Seniors: With this year at C.T.H.S. you are climaxing one of the important phases of your life. At the same time, as your principal, I am initiating a new phase in my life. May we in later years reflect with great satis- faction. As graduating members of the Class of 1965 you are entering a world that will offer opportunities unlimited. The degree to which you grasp at these opportunities will be tempered by the intensity of your desires. And may the methods you use in grasping at oppor- tunity be based on the good moral and ethical foundation that you were taught at C.T.H.S. With these factors in mind I wish you the blessings of the Almighty as you move through life. Donald W. Drenner High School Principal DR. TELFORD B. BLOUGH Juniata College, A.B., Teachers College, Columbia University, M.A.g University of Pittsburgh, Ed.D., Graduate work at University of Pennsyl- vania, Pennsylvania State University, Ohio State University, Columbia School of Journalism, American Peoples College in Europe, Supervising Principal Class of 1965: You have completed the first step toward a successful life. You are a high school graduate. In 1965, or any other year, a high school diploma will not pave your way to a life of ease and wealth. But a high school diploma is the key now necessary to open almost any door which will give you an opportunity to prove yourself. Conemaugh Township schools are growing, not only in numbers but in the determination of school officials, teachers and the entire student body to build a better educational program for the young men and women of this community. Believe me, this area has a future. Pessimism is finally giving way to renewed faith and hope. We invite you to participate in this new effort. We are glad you are a C.T.H.S. graduate. Face the future with confidence and determination. We wish you well always. Telford B. Blough Supervising Principal PRINCIPAL MR. DONALD W. DRENNER FACULTY MR. ROBERT W.
