Fnrewnrd The vast Wilderness ot the rolling hills ot Somerset County was changed into the Root Garden ot Pennsylvania by the tirst sturdy pioneers, many ol Whom were ol the German descent. These people are known to us as the Pennsylvania Dutch. Their customs, traditions, and quaint expressions have woven a back- ground pattern into the lite ot the community. It is because ot this heritage that the statt ot the 1952 Connumach wished to pay tribute to this group ot people. We, the stalt, have strived to blend their unique sayings and typical art work with many lond memories from the halls of Conemaugh Township High School.
