The Editor ‘DecUc tuut The Parent-Teacher Association through the many years of its work in our school, has contributed wholeheartedly towards Conecuh County High School's high purpose to live in love and harmony and to inspire each individual to grow mentally, physically, spiritually and socially. More cheerful, well-lighted rooms with good teachers' desk; a better choice of library books; en- joyable playground equipment; and a well-equipped lunchroom give definite evidences of the many ways in which the Parent-Teacher Association has inspired us to grow. In sincere appreciation for all these wonderful assistances, we, the Cohian Staff of 1956, do dedicate this, the fifteenth volume of the Cohian to our Parent-Teacher Association. The emblem has been described through the years as follows: The emblem of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers is the oak tree. The trunk represents the national organization; the main branches, the state congresses; the small limbs, the districts and coun- cils; the twigs, the local associations; the leaves, the individual members. The emblem represents a definite pledge of service and protection of childhood and youth.
