The Montana Club, con- sisting of ninety-nine Montana Cobbers, meets twice a month and aims to promote Western hospitality on campus. Their fall banquet, complete with guitars and cowboy singing, was held at Warren's Cafe. Charcoal jackets with emblems representing de- fenders of freedom mark the veterans on campus. The chief project of the thirty-five active members in the Veteran's Club was sponsoring the home concert of the Concordia College Band. The Peter Anderson Chapter, named in honor of a former head of the education department and affiliated with both state and national education asso- ciations, meets monthly in Cobber Hall. This year's drive brought the membership total to 253. The sixty members have all received numerals, sweaters, jackets or blankets as rewards for their work in either a major or a minor sport. The club raises its money for awards by selling homecoming buttons. Ushers for the Globetrotter game and for tournaments are recruited from their ranks also. The Lettermen's Carnival each spring has made a name for its sponsors. The Tennis Club gets into full swing each spring shortly before they play in the women's tennis tournament at Carleton College.
