Concert Setting reparation fakes time, mlm: HOUSANDS of listeners thronged to hear Christmas music sung by Concordia's massed choirs on three concert nights. Directors Paul I. Christian- sen and Earnest Harris trained the choirs with an emphasis on traditional music. Professor Cy Run- ning of the art department supervised the design and execution of 'the sets. A brass ensemble and instrumental soloists under the direction of Profes- sor Leif Christianson were featured. Mr. Art Sanden worked to produce the lighting effects. Attention in the 1957 concert was focused on a double theme- The Dayspring which cometh down from heaven hath visited usi' and Let us even now go unto Beth- lehem. The twentieth annual Concordia Christmas Concert was the satisfying result of the merging of time and talents of many. Artist Bowman letters the concert backdrop with words of the Christmas message- The Dayspring from on high hath visited us. Evergreens going up! Fieldhouse janitors strain to raise one of the fifty somg trees used in arranging the setting for the massed choirs. 114 Precariously perched with paint bucket and brush, Fred Nelson makes his contribution to the concert.
