from the U.S. Naval Academy in June 1968 and was ordered to the Nav
Postgraduate School Monterey, California, under the Immediate Master DA
gree Program. Graduating with distinction in June 1969, he received aMa3
ter of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Rear Admiral John T. Lyons III was born in Brooklyn, New York,.andii,
He was accepted into the Naval Nuclear Power Program and followm

CCGN-355 in August 1970 serving as Main Propulsion Assistant. During
