Caftfofcnia .gaagofaugifz iyscfzzafion The flalifornia Scholarship Federation lfhapter of Uolusa High School-was unusually small this year. The niost prominent' reason for this fact is that our school is again raising its standards. This makes it more difficult to make the required grades for entranee into the society. The first semester, our chapter was under the efficient administration of Iloh lflarnsworth. Roh declined the nomination of president for the set-ond semester. The officers elected for the second semester were as follows: .,,,,.,, Del Fullmer President ,..... ........,..,,.,. Vice President .,i...,....... .....,..,,,, I .ois Lawrie ,Secretary-Treasllrer .,,..,,,..,,,,,7,,,.,.,,.,,..,,,,.......... ....,,.. I lloyd Westphal Many thanks from all the members are given to our advisor, Mrs. Mctlomish, who has had the foresight to steer us away from several perplexing situations. The activities have, in this year as in recent years, suffered because of war time restrictions. The activities held, however, were paid from the ineluhersllip dues. The purpose of the Federation, symbolically, is to pass on the torch of knowledge and learning. That task, I consider 4-oinpletely fulfilled hy the 194-1-45 society. DELBEIVI' FULLMER
