STARS Continued from 12 On February 17 Janice Potter and Donald Schupbach reigned as King and Queen of Hearts at the Student Council Dance. James Murphy gained recognition as guard on the All-State football team. We will always remember the night of April 24 because of the wonderful Prom, Moonlight and Roses, given us by the juniors. Baccalaureate was held at the school auditor- ium on May 17 with Reverend Franklin Wales giving the address and Rev. Carl Goldenstein pre- siding. Our goal was reached May 21 with Commence- ment exercises being held at the City Auditorium. Chancellor R. G. Gustavson of the University of Nebraska was the speaker, and Reverend Grant Van Boening gave the invocation and benediction. Now we leave with our memories and say Farewell because we are the seniors and have prepared ouselves to meet life, but whatever this life brings us, we will never forget Columbus High and all the activities gathered together between the covers of this book. SENIOR OFFICER STAFF This group of girls is responsible for the many duties of keep- ing the office running smoothly. They put out a daily bulletin, have charge of the attendance record, answer phone calls, and do many other tasks for the good of the school.
