We will walk across the stage and with one flick of the wrist, move the tassels on our caps from student to alumni of Columbus High School. We are ready for our Flight to New Horizons. LAST WILL TESTAMENT We, the undersignedf known officially as the Senior Class of Columbus, of 1960 being of unsound mind, of weak heart, and having but a few short hours to dwell among the horrors of the trials and tribulations of our high school days, do make, publish, and declare this to be our last Will and Testament. To our School we leave our love and loyalty. We also leave the echoes of our soothing voices, the privilege of looking at our senior class pictures, and all the clever jokes in study hall and classes. To the Faculty we leave our appreciation for their understanding and patience and our thanks for their guidance and interest. We also leave them our supply of good grades to give to the kids next year and a dozen red pencils to replace the ones they used up in marking our papers this year. To the Juniors we bequeath that rare gift called senior privileges. We also leave them our ability to raise money and a map of Minot so they wonft get lost there next year on their skip day. We also leave them our poise and dignity which they sadly need. To the Sophmores we give what few traces of meekness and humility we may have left and a lot of advice which we won’t specify because they won’t follow it anyway. To the Freshmen we give our brains and ability, the joy of laughing at nothing and the pleasures and pangs of puppy love. The individual members of the graduating class device and bequeath the following: Sheldon Thompson leaves his seat in detention hall to any Junior who can be late as often as he was. Dennis Flaherty leaves Sandra Early, temporarily of course. Mervin Holter leaves with all the high school girls in tears. Gary Burau leaves his car to Landy Iverson because it would never make it to college. Lorna Guderjohn leaves her knowledge of everyone and everything to June Lunstad. Sandra Granrud bequeaths her quietness to Sandra Gunderson. Rodney Mader leaves his basketball ability to Craig Brenno. It seems to be needed next year. Larry Haugerud leaves his Yul Brynner hair cut to David Ronholdt. Muriel Watterud leaves her rings to Kay Merchant. Myrna Running gives to Kathy Durick her ability to skip school and not get caught. Jeannette Nordtvedt is proud of her unjealousy and leaves it to Marvey Dewing. To Darrell Carlson, Marlowe Brusven leaves his shyness. Clayton Holte leaves his good looks to Robert Helseth. Myrna Witty wills her gift of gab to Maxine Jenson. Dianne Darras leaves her wiggles to Roberta Running in hopes that she will do justice to them. Norris Anderson leaves his ability to make speeches in class to Dennis Boen. William Thorndal leaves the unpaid bills of the Senior Class to next year’s Senior Class Treasurer. Gloria Olson leaves her many hair styles to Sandra Huwe. Bonnie Farstad leaves her ability to control her temper to Jerome Dalebout as he certainly needs it. Betsy Matson leaves her late hours to LaDonne Steen. Karmen Ronning leaves her good nature to Beth Melgaard and Adeline Ularud. Cleo Iverson leaves absolutely nothing. She’s taking everything with her. Jerome Carlson leaves his good posture to Lynette Basse1. Douglas Bonsness leaves his ability to get along with his girlfriend to Larry Tessmer. Sally Burau leaves her giggle to Leslie Walleen. LeRoy Giibertson leaves his ability to get last minute dates to Jimmy Tveter. Pat Whaley leaves her southern accent to Bonnie Darras. Perky Rude leaves her height to Mr. Wittich. Myrna Dewing leaves her many hours of studying to Ardis Olson and hopes she makes use of them. Sarann leaves her red hair to Roberta Ely. T° tho6e who we have failed to mention we leave our other numerous talents and abilities and the memory of one of the finest classes ever to graduate from Columbus High School. In witness whereof, we the Senior Class of Columbus High School, have here our hands and seal this twenty fourth day of May, in the year of our Lord nineteen and sixty. unto set hundred
