Each girl agrees to give at least one hour per week toward helping in the library. Their duties vary, including circulation desk work, shelving books, checking magazines, filing cards, reading the shelves, checking invoices, making overdue notices, arranging bulletin boards, and anything else that needs to be done. The State Department of Education and the Georgia Library Association, recog- nizing their service to the School library, awards them a certificate for two years, service.

A Thanksgiving basket was presented to a needy family and the annual CARE package was sent to a French family. At the end of the year the club had a picnic for the members and their guests. A B average is required for membership, with new members inducted after the first six weeks. As initiation, the new members hold a special program. This year they were required to debate the question, g'Resolved: That the French people! use more English phrases than the American people use French phrasesf'
