QV-5 xg X SENIOR CLASS PLAY - HDESPERATE AMBROSE The Senior Class Play, UDESPERATE AMBROSE, was a three-act farce comedy of the Old West. With the aid of a wonderful cast, student director and all the other fine support given by the Seniors, the play was a great success. The play was presented on December 2, 1960, to a full house! Mr. Fedoro De- Tunno was the director. JUNIOR CLASS PLAY - OUR HEARTS WERE YOUNG AND GAY OUR HEARTS WERE YOUNG AND GAY, was an entertaining comedy presented April 7th and Sth, under the direction of Mrs. A. T. White with the student directors, Becky Way and Kay Shasteen. lt dealt with the hilarious misadventures of two American girls on their first trip to Europe during the Roar- ing Twenties. R .i RICH I-IARROLD Rich, who was a co-captain, was our best pass- receiver, leading scorer, and a standout at defensive end. His outstanding play will be very greatly missed next year. PAUL MURPHY Paul, who was the other co-captain, playeda terrific game at quarterback. His ability to hit his receivers in clutch situations was uncanny. He will be greatly missed next year. GARY SPRATT Gary, playing mostly defense, played in the de- fensive backfield. He was consistantly in on the tackles and was our best pass defender. His great defensive work will be hard to duplicate next year. DON CULP Don was a standout in the middle of the clipper line on offense, and a very fine linebacker on de- fense. His spirit and enthusiasm will be greatly missed next year. DON WILLIAMSON Don, at his tackle position, displayed some ter- rific blocking on offense and did a fine job on de- fense. He will be a hard man to replace next year. GARY THOMPSON Gary played offensive guard and threw many timely blocks to spring our backs loose. His ability will be missed next year. GARY PERKINS Gary, playing his third year of Varsity football, was an outstanding ground gainer. His natural abil- ity and powerful running will be greatly missed next year. RICH KYSER Rich was our right halfback and a very good one. His running to the left proved to be a great asset to our team. His consistent play will be missed next year. JOHN BAILEY John was one of our defensive specialists. His ability to cover pass-receivers will be missed next year. DAVE SCOTT Dave, a senior playing his first year of Varsity ball at his defensive tackle, proved to be a fine tackler and will be missed next year. DICK RICHARDSON Dick moved into the middle linebacker spot of the Clipper defense, and played some good ball games there. He will be a hard man to replace next year. NEIL IOEBCHEN Neil was another senior who won his first Varsity letter this year. He did a fine job at offensive end toward the end of the season. DAVE GARROD Dave, a junior, was a very fine blocker and tackler at his end position. His determination should be a great value to next year's team. ED OLENICK Ed, playing his first year of Varsity ball, proved to be a valuable tackle on offense and defense both. He should be a great asset to next year's team. DAVE BAILEY Dave, a junior quarterback, proved to be a very good passer. His ability and determination should be a great benefit to next year's team. RANDY MILLER Randy won his Varsity letter playing defensive linebacker. He should be one of the mainstays of next year's team. DALE MURPHY Dale, although only a sophomore, won his second Varsity letter this year. His driving runs from full- back should prove to be very important the next two years. BOB JOHNSON Bob was another sophomore to be very important to the Clippers this year. His blocking and outstand- ing defensive play should be very valuable in the coming years. Basketball QXQPBR. He will be a great asset to next year' team. JERRY CROSS - Jerry, a junior, displayed a very good jump shot and showed fine rebounding skill. His skill will be a great asset to next year's team. DALE MURPHY - Dale, though only a sophomore, was a starter on the Varsity. His aggressiveness and rebounding made him very valuable to the team. You can look for two more great years from Dale. TERRY HENDERSON - Terry, a sophomore, though seeing limited action for the Varsity, turned in an admirable season for the Reserves. Relay team. Paul Murphy improved his 440 yd. run from 58 seconds at the start of the season to 54 seconds in the District Meet.
