VOCAL MUSIC g MIXED CHORUS Q Our Mixed Chorus this year is made up of Freshmen through Senior boys and girls. We are eighty strong under the direction of Mrs. Snow. JUNIOR HIGH CHORUS Composed of seventh and eighth grade girls under the direction of Mrs Warner, they are our future Columbiana High School Chorus. 5' gr BAND mm Q ,105 The band, under the direction of Mr. Donegan, gave fine performances at the football games and on various occasions during the year. JUNIOR BAND SAFETY PATROL The large Safety Patrol is in charge of Captain Virginia Beiling and her helpers, Lieutenants Joyce Cox and Ray Oberholtzer. Members take turns in guarding five street intersections and in helping load school buses. The patrol is taken on a trip to Cleveland to see the Indians play once a season. NEWSPAPER STAFF Six issues of The Clipperette, Columbiana High School newspaper, were published this year. Everyone thought it a fine little newspaper. Lloyd Mackall served as editor, Peg Hanna associate editor, and Mrs. Jackson advisor. Some issues were mimeographed by the Typing H class and the rest were printed commercially by the Ledger. It was a close and exciting game, the Clippers coming out on top 13 to 6. The next game was at McDonald. It was a hard game with both teams unable to score. The next two games the Clippers won easily, defeating North Lima 26 to 6 and Springiield 26 to 0. On a muddy field the Clippers were overpowered by a strong Leetonia eleven 28 to 6 ending an eleven game winning streak. The game with Canfield was another tough contest, the Clippers winning 21 to 12. The Clippers next defeated a stubborn Lowellville team 45 to 0. The Lisbon game saw the Clippers, after getting off to a bad start, come out in the second half to play one of their best halves of the season but los- ing 25 to 6. The final game ofthe season was against our arch-enemy East Pales- tine. Both teams fought a hard battle, East Palestine edging out an 18 to 14 victory.
