JUNIJRS ,ZW 1951 Class llfficers Seated: Paul Alley, Bruce Miller, Dick Thomas. figgiding: Mary Lou McCaughtry, Carolyn Gano, Ed Miller, Louise Roesti, Janet Being a JUNIOR was a strain We were used to the customs of our school and passed them along tc the freshies and sophs. Important on the varsities, ranking high in the classroom, we took pride in our members who won awards. Our scholarship and our play, We Shook the Family Tree, branded us outstanding. After several months we had begun to feel pretty important and vital to CHS. Then, challenging tradition, on our own, we gave a Prom to honor the seniors. We enjoyed the confusion of graduation and caught some of the senti- ment of the year's last days. And then came the final sign of growing up- taking senior places at Class Day. Thus as Juniors we matured. Impatiently, we are awaiting our senior year when we can come into our own. I7
