rifle Marv! ofglofwcafion The Board of Education is an important organization in the community. It is the policy forming and legislative body for the conducting of the schools oi Columbiana. The Board aims to keep the school up to the, standard required by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. At the same time it tries DR. F. W. TRADER DH. H. MCDIVITT lOl-IN ROBINSON CARL CALVIN to conduct the school economically. Last year Columbiana ranked 43rd out of 79 Exempted Villages in the state, in cost of operation. Thus the cost of educating a child in Columbiana schools is below the average in the state for schools of same classification. Bev. George Funk and Roy Bilger retired from the Board lanuary l, 1941 after eight years of service. Dallas Hepburn resigned last August due to business connections which made it necessary to move his family to Lisbon. Carl Calvin was appointed by the board to till Mr. I-lepbum's unexpired term. Bev. McDivitt and lohn Robinson were elected to the Board last November for a four year term. I L, '
