Some of the participating organizations were the hand cheerleaders, FT A, FFA, annual staff and LIF1' . This year, seniors had to get down on their knees and beg for a float! When this did not worh, they had to stand up and fight' Floats made from hits were unreasonably expensive, and sponsors felt the money could he better spent another way. So, together aided hy Mrs. Perkins, Mrs. Fowler, Mrs. Ondras, and Mrs. Slacaleh, the senior class made their own fbat. As a result, they not only saved a great deal of money but their float also won Honorable Mention! As Columbia's Fair Queen representative, Dinnie Davidson rode atop the senior float with her escort Lyndon Ward. In spite of everyone's hwely plans for the Fair parade, the sun refused to shine, and the rain poured'!
