GYM-NIKS: Left End Bottom Cclockwisej: Lisa Smith, Chris Cates. Denise Fosline, Zoe Mitzel, Pam Hasting once again this year. This year' group was a fairly large one, and they did many activities that supported the wrestling team. The girls spent many hours after school painting signs for the wres- tling meets as well as locker signs for each individual on the wrestling team. They also organized various programs whose main purpose was to collect money for the wrestling fund. One of such programs were the senior class T-shirts that were sold after school. These T-shirts had all the names of the CHHS seniors for 1979 printed on them, and it became a rather popular item. Another activity that contributed to the wrestling fund was the selling of pop to the students after school. This turned out to be a very profitable activity. For the boy's gymnastic team, the Gym-Niks were organized. They also did their part in giving the gymnastic team the support that they needed. Like the Grappler Gals, the Gym-Niks also painted signs announcing the meets as well as locker signs for each individual member of the team. Both groups lent further support to their respective teams by attending every meet and cheering the guys on, or by helping in the meets or tournaments. The girls were also responsible for doing morning announcements that informed the students about the upcoming meets and persuading the students to attend them. Hard-working individuals such as Cathy Custer, Cheryl Luke, Jill Meixner, DeeAnn Norlander CGrappler Galsb, and Theresa and Vanessa Herbst CGym-Niksj, made a big contribution in making their respective groups a big success when it came to giving the support and spirit that the teams needed.
