Students at CCJHS prepare for the future by studying the past and gaining an understanding of the world they live in today. The social studies courses offered at CCJHS are World History, U.S. History, civics, geog- raphy, economics and sociology, and vocational informa- tion. Through these subjects, the social studies depart- ment aims to give students the insight and knowledge necessary for the years ahead of them. In World History, which is usually taught in the soph- omore year, students through studying the past, as lead- ers will be more able to meet arising crises with better perception, U.S. History is a required subject for juniors.
