Uintah to the north, Cache la Poudre to the south, Nevada aand Monument Creek to the east and west - CC continually expands beyond its boundaries. The Baca Campus, near Crestone, Colorado, is yet another example of our outward movement into the community and the region around us. Many classes this year spent time in Baca's incredible surroundings, opening students' minds to the emotions and energies of the Southwest. At Baca the mood was quiet and contemplative; the seminar room housed only a fraction of the knowledge to be gained in this spiritual and phyisical world. In the immediate area, students discovered the Lindisfarne potters, a Buddhist temple, a Hindu Ashram, a Catholic monastery, many hiking and mountain-biking trails, and a kindred town, all full of friendly folk. Time spent at Baca held different beauties for all who partook; the history, the colors of the mountains, and the cultures of the people in this diverse area gave common feelings of delight in the experience and regret in departure.
