CC 39 COLORADO STATE 13 a fighting Colorado college delegation finally over- came the greeley jinx as they handed the bears a 39 to 13 whipping thereby earning their first rocky mountain con- ference win of the season, the tigers came from behind in the second quarter after spotting the bears a touch- down and then proceeded to calmly maul the opposition all over the field, this was fitting justice as last year greeley spoiled the cc homecoming so in retaliation cc turned around and spoiled greeley ' s homecoming, the Colorado springs boys scored three times in the first half and turned the game into a rout by scoring three times in the second stanza. ED KOHLMEIER nc tackle, honorable menti captain greeley state game CC 19 A A FT. HAYES 7 the tigers enjoyed a happy homecoming by romping over the bengals from ft. hayes, kansas, 19 to 7. it was cc ' s third victory of the season as they downed a hustling kansas state team, although the hometown team couldn ' t seem to get rolling on offense, this game exhibited prob- ably the best defensive play shown by the tigers in quite a while, the offense, marred by frequent fumbles, lacked the fine edge shown in previous games, however, it was good for three touchdowns and a homecoming victory. CC WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY 27 the black and gold lost its third game of the year as the bears from st. louis, mo., tripped them 27 to in an out-of-the-league game. Washington struck like lightning and before the first quarter was thirteen minutes old, they had racked up twenty points and cc hadn ' t penetrated inside their thirty-five yard line, the tigers threatened oniy once with the ball being taken to the bear eight yard stripe, however, fate stepped in with a penalty on each of the next two plays and the ball went over to Washington, this was the final loss the tigers incurred in their nine game schedule.
