PRESIDENT DAVIES With his smiling face and friendly manner . . . Prexy was to each student more like one of them than President of their college. In February . . . Prexy saw a greater duty and became Major Davies of the U. S. Marines. The campus isn ' t quite the same without him . . . but we know that he ' s doing a bigger job where he is now . . . and it ' s up to us who are left here to continue with the spirit of enthusiasm with which he imbued us. His C.C. spirit was not just an ordinary feeling of love for college ... it was, and still is, an intense interest in each student . . . how the school can help him and he the school. Besides all this is his desire to have everyone know and love C.C. as he does. There is much more to his spirit than can be written . . . but we all know that with our Prexy in the Marines . . . helping to win the war . . . the swing to victory can ' t be far off. THURSTON J.
