The primary concern of the members of the Camera Club was supplying pictures for the school student publications. The members were responsible for most of the pictures which appeared in the KAHOKI, and many in the KAHOKIAN. Plans for this year included cleaning the darkroom and the initiation of training in which experienced members taught those who wished to learn photography. The club functioned under Mr. Geroff, sponsor; and Karen Bingaman, president. Members of the Audio-Visual Club donated one study hall a day to aid the teachers of CHS in the operation of machines such as, slide and filmstrips, tape recorders and record players. Three of four field trips were planned to sites such as an Audio Visual Center in St. Louis, a television center, and the University Audio Visual Center. The club’s presiding officer was John Wood. The purpose of the Speech Dramatic Arts Club was to promote skill in public speaking and acting, and to further an interest in the dramatic media. The club was open to students interested in this area, and who were willing to work. SDA had several plays throughout the year and also participated in many contests. Meetings were held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month under the club’s president Nikki Ehrlich. The National Thespian Society is an honorary branch of the Speech Dramatic Arts Club. It is open to all diligent members who earn one thousand points. These points can be earned by participating in plays, including back-stage work as well as acting, and also by contest participation. In March, this honor society produced a play in the annual speech contest. The Thespians worked under the effective leadership of their president Jennifer Biondi. 'JtzifiMl FIRST ROW: D.
