How Often Did You Dial The Phone Only To Hear 4 Forty Minutes ? 753-6714. For many these seven digits provided the sustenance for a year atop Mt. St, James. They were the key to College Square Pizza. No one ever argued that the pizza was good, much less nutritious, but it was dependable. For when the first biting winds of winter came, one could pick up the phone, hear the familar Greek accent and know a pizza would arrive forty minutes later. One of the surprises of the year was that a competitor challenged College Square's monopoly. But Domino's, in their battle for the Holy Cross pizza dollar, faced a foe greater than their Southbridge Street opponent - the administration. Yet, even when they operated unhindered, 754-2236 wasn't memorized as 753-6714 was. 1

'. ,is-' Did You Start Every Semester With Regular Trips To Dinand? The start of every semester brings with it lofty aspirations, not the least of which is the elevation of one's QPI. This academic ambition draws a surprising num- ber to Dinand Library when only intro- ductions are being read. The regular attendance which characterizes the first few weeks of the semester eventually begins to wane as social, athletic and extra- curricular interests exert their magnetic effect. When the first round of tests appear on the horizon, attendance at Dinand begins to increase and prime locations are very much sought after. The pattern inevitably repeats itself during the semester. Finals bring an extreme situation - just ask the thirty who stood in lines on that snowy December morning waiting for the library to open.
