Playing much stronger competition, and still lacking in height, plus the loss of three starters from the previous year, the Preps again came up with a hard fighting and hustling ball team. The team ran up many high scoring games, while most of the games lost were by a narrow margin. On the free throw line they showed their skill by running up a higher average than any X team in this area, which. achievement K , J proved to be a winning point in many of ,f---' their games. Among the highlights of the year f b was their winning of the Eivins Bowl l N f Tournament, and the capture of fourth f place in their own Christmas Tourna- ' f Q ment, considered to be one of the tough- I l est Invitational Tournaments in the X 'f' state. The team showed such good Wffnp I. sportsmanship that it was not only noted ' X in our local paper but in the St. Louis ' paper also. J f, Z. The Preps will lose only two players from this year's team due to graduation: Errol Porter and Harry Rust. We are proud of our team and hope they continue to show their fighting spirit and good sportsmanship in the future. 26
