After 2:15, many students rushed home to go to work, watch T.V., or ride around in their cars. Most of all, school was off the brain, and concen- tration was on letting the good times roll. On the weekends fit was important to notej most teenagers attended sports events, movies, concerts, par- ties, worked or shopped. Everyone just tried to make the best out of their weekend away from school. Bus service returned with the passage of the levy. A glimpse of an afternoon class. Maria Lager, Janine Scully, and Ms. Sprunger waiting anxiously for the arrival of the Lizzie Borden crowd. Rhythmettes finishing another spectacular per- formance. lnbetween September and June there were days of getting acquainted with teachers. The sophomores joined the juniors and seniors in displaying school spirit. Activities were planned all year long to get students involved in their school. The year started off rock- ing as the band, Livingston Road ll, played for the first yearbook signing party in Colerain's history. Other excit- ing events in the fall included Football Homecoming and the visit of Octo- ber , Mr. Doss' hot-air balloon. The phenomenal Flying Cards, under the guidance of Coach of the Year , Ken Meibers, brought home Colerain's first State Cross Country Championship. The Varsity Football team upheld its tradition by bringing home the league title for the fourth year. Slowly but surely the year wound its way toward June and another long awaited sum- mer vacation for all.
