He went back to his home at Clarks- burg, West Virginia, for his few re- maining days on earth. There on April 17, 1959, he resolutely set his face toward the blazing western sun of an eventful life and began the greatest adventure of alli Mike taught English and Jour- nalism in Colerain H igh School from 1949 to 1959. He was loved by students, teachers, and parents, He, in turn, loved with a surpassing devotion his family, friends, Cole- rain School, and the Cincinnati Reds.
