-xc MOON f PROPHECV One summer day when a few of us of the class of '53 got together we decided to take a little trip through town to see what our dear friends of the class of '52 had accomplished since graduation While we were waiting at a corner for our bus we witnessed a collision of two automobiles and to our utter amazement JANET SUHR operator of one had dis regarded a redlight and hit PAT REIS who was sitting in the intersection trying to decide which way to go To our further puzzlement the cop with aknack for han dling women and their former classmate JAMES PEEL was summoned to the scene At this point our bus came and we found ourselves m the Capable hands of the bus driver CLAUDE HOOPS I e got off at the courthouse where we had decided to take a tour We were inspecting one courtroom where we found the docket to be quite interesting We saw that RICHY MEISTER was suing for more money on his unemployment check and that Fighting D A NORMAN ARLETH was suing DAN ALVIS and NORMAN THEOBAI-,D and NANCY CARI-,ELTON were picked up for disturbing the peace Their quarrel being over the hand of LEROY MEIER When we stepped out of the court house we bought a Newspaper from DON LERCH and while looking through it we found that LIL HAFFEY was singing atthe opera that night and that LEFTY LOHRER had been made manager of the Cincinnati Reds In the editorals we noticed that the duel between the editor JANET COPPLE and BOB SCHNEIDER the editor of the Crosstown Paper on the question of SHOULD TEACHERS BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE PSYCHOLOGY IN SCHOOLS As we strolled down Vine Street we noticed that the Salvation Army Band had added some new members to its ranks Including RUSSELL FOREMAN playing the accordian JOAN PINSENSCHAUM playing the piano DICK MOORE playing the tuba and KATIE ELLIOTT singing Continuing our stroll we found HARRIETT HARMANN selling flowers and JACK GAMBS selling pretzels That afternoon we decided to visit River Downs and upon entering the gate W were cornered by WALT BUESCHER who told us for a price he would give us a sure thing We took his advice and placed a bet with TED LANTZ the Groesbeck Bookie and fought our way through that crowd of ardent horse race fans a few of which were DARLENE SUNDERHAUS NORMA HOGEBACK MAYR FLOYD and EVELYN FREYTAG We found that our horse Lagging Behind had won At the winner s circle we found the sensat1onal actress MARLENE STREITHORST plantinga kiss on the famous Jockey BOB RENTSCHLER and WALTER ZOELLNER presenting the trophy to the owners SHERRY HOCHSCHEID and RICH GAISER That evening we went to Kentucky to a night club and crossing the toll bridge found the toll keeper to be BOB WEAVER We proceded to the Latin Quarter and arrived Just in time to see the floor show begin We noticed among other things that JOAN FETZER CLORY HURSONG and SHIRLEY MURPHY were inthe chorus lme Next on the program was that former torchsinger CAROL LANGDALE Her singing so aroused JACK HUGHES that he had to be thrown out by the bouncers TOM BURTON and JOHN COOK At this point that table to table photographer PAT BACHMAN came up to take our picture Before she had the chance the place was raided and we noticed that BILL BEIERSDORFER was the Captain and ROGER BIEHL his Lieutentant.
