Freshmen, also. BARBARA RUSSELL leaves her GSC presidency to Lavina Schmidt. ARLOAH NORELIUS wills and bequeaths to Ruthanna Hawkins her executive abil- ity. What he refers to as his car is left by CHUCK MONSON to Don Swan. LAVONNE KEATH leaves her seat on the bus to Brian Meckel, while JERRY LAHAIE leaves his crown to next year's king of the Harvest Ball. MARVIN GEORGE is leaving, lucky CHS! STUBBY LYON gladly surrenders to Roger Brown his class office positions. RICHARD MAHER'S ability to write headlines is left by him to Sherrill Grounds. BOB HAAKENSON wills his helpfulness to the teachers to Lorene Schoonover. DUANE JENSEN leaves his Cadillac to Johnny McCaw. BLANCHERAE BRAN- SON wills her horesmanship to Marilyn Marshall. JIM BURNS and BARBARA MUR- PHY leave together. EVIE CHANDLER leaves her daimand to Vetra Libby, while JANET DAHL and MARIETTA NOLANDER leave their ability to get along together all through high school to Suzie Minch and Sis Lemley. JANET D'ANDREA leaves her chairmanship title in so many school activities to Ruth- ann Winkle. ALLEN ENGEN will the pictures that Mr. Stone has drawn of him on the board to the models in next year's classes. SHIRLEY STEVENS leaves her typing ability to Shirley Brandt. DUWAYNE SMALLEY leaves the fitness of his name to Duane Shockley. DANNY ANDERSON leaves the trouble he has had getting along with his teachers behind him. BARBARA TOSH wills to Karlene Lucore her long fingernails. BOB DONNENWIRTH wills and bequeaths the paper he has used in writing tests to the janitors to pick up behind him. ROBERT JOHNSON gives his seat in study hall to next year's unlucky inhabitant, and JACK RUTHVEN leaves CHS behind, with all of the happy memories to think over, along with all the rest of us who are leaving. by ARLENE ISZLER LORRAINE HUDSON 611155 Z7 aplzccy May, 1963 Dear Ann, I had a little time on my hands so I decided I'd write and tell you the news. And speaking of news, if you really want to hear some you should read BARBARA RUS- SELIIS gossip column in the Coeur d'Alene Press, which is now edited by JANET DAHL. Another section you might be interested in is ARCHIE RUSSELL'S Advice to the Lovelorn. By the way, I just read the other day about CAROLYN ADAMS being selected as the Best Secretary of 1965. Did you know that MARVIN GEORGE is a policeman? The mayor of Coeur d'Alene JACK LEMLEY, suggested to Chief of Police BOB WOMELDORFF that they give Marvin the Dike Road to patrol since it is such familiar territory to him. Have you seen that new movie, Forever Under ? It's a story of a deep sea diver played by JERRY LAHAIE. ARLOAH NORELIUS is his leading lady and BARBARA MURPHY plays the other woman. I saw it last night at the Lovitt Theatre owned by BOB LOVITT. There was a double feature that night and the second picture was The Greatest Schmoes on Earth, starring WAYNE CAUDILL and RONN CONNERLY. They're the funniest team since Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. I've had a toothache the past few days so I finally hopped on the city bus driven by RON WEBSTER, and went to the dentist, DR. BOB HAAKENSON. I had to wait in the office for several hours and so I got to talk to NANCY HOWELL, who was waiting also. She is a door to door salesgirl for Iszler's Snap Happy Bubble Gum, which is guaranteed to snap at every chew. It was invented by, yup, you've guessed it, ARLENE ISZLER. Just as Nancy was selling a case of it to me, who should come out to holler, Next victim, please, but BEVERLY JOHNSON. She is Dr. Haakenson's dental as- sistant.

I had a little shopping to do so I went over to Woo1worth's where I was waited on by ANITA ZEUGE. From there I went to the drug store for my favorite magazine, The Wednesday Morning Pole. There on the cover was a picture of MAURINE ADAMS, who's modeling in New York. Inside there was an article on BLANCHE RAE BRAN- SON, Republican Congresswoman from Idaho, and her terrific four-mouth fillibuster. There were many pictures taken by EDWIN SPOONER in the magazine and there was one of ESTHER and ESTELLE WIKS, who are breaking all records in women's basket- ball. In the fashion section I saw several dresses designed by NORMA JEAN ROSEN- BERGER. And of course there was one of those Draw Me contests with a girl you're supposed to copy drawn by HELENE LOISEL. I also saw a picture of FRANK DELA- VAN, who is modeling for a new home permanent invented by JANET D'ANDREA. In the TV section there were pictures of JANICE RADOVICH and DAISY PEEK, who are really making names for themselves as singers. There was also a picture of JACK ESSLEY and his famous dance band, and one of JANET BEST before her most recent violin concert. There were very interesting articles about CHUCK MONSON and RON MOEN and the antique cars they collect, and about the voice and piano conservatory owned and operated by MARILYN MATTHEWS. Several former CHS students are now members of the faculty. LORRAINE HUDSON is teaching typing, LOUISE KARLSEN heads the speech department, MAXINE NET- TLETON is teaching home economics and is still cooking pine splinters. Since MELVIN SCHMIDT started coaching basketball and football the teams have set a new record: they haven't won a game yet. Some of our former classmates have chosen a medical profession. FRANCES ASP- LUND, LAVONNE KEATH, CAROL SATCHWELL, and ARLENE THORNTON are all nurses. How did you like the way the election turned out? President-elect GARY ROBERT- SON really won by a landslide. Did you know that PEGGY RIGG is a sergeant in the WAC? MARY JANE REITZ is married and is making a career of being a good housewife. RANDY PROHL is driving a taxi and LLOYD WIKLUND and DARRELL WODTKE have both joined the Foreign Legion. Well, I guess that's all the news for now. If you hear any more be sure to write. Sincerely yours, YVONNE DEITZ Dear Louise, It's been a long time since I've seen you so I decided to write you a letter and tell you what our old friends are doing. Larry Barnes has opened his office as a doctor right next door to the Justus Undertak- ing Parlor operated by CHARLES JUSTUS. PAT THOMPSON is working as a secretary for AL PETERS, who is president of the great Peters Diaper Service. DORIS VIG is one of the steady customers of the Peters Diaper Service, so is BETTY CAPAULg she has the theory of cheaper by the dozen. EUGENE FLEGEL is now known as the television whiz, he does a singing com- mercial for his audience. LAURANCE LIBBY manufactures cosmetics for the pigs after their mud packs. EVELYN CHANDLER is Dean of Women at the University of Idaho. She has been trying to get the girls to stop flying their space ships so fast. ,DUANE JENSEN is reck-
