“September 1959 found, us back at CBNA, ready for a busy senior year. We were sorry to have lost Carolyn Hodgdon, Ronald Welch, and Susan Savard, leav- ing us with twenty members. At our first class meeting we elected the follow- ing officers: President, Bruce Linscott; Vice-President, James Jordan; Secre- tary, Mary Neilsen; Treasurer, James Sherman; Student Council, Carol Farr and Benjamin DeButts. Mrs. MacPherson, our class advisor, was soon busy working with us on our float for the Deerfield Fair. World Peace was decided on as our theme. Four students were chosen to ride on the float: James Sherman as Mr. K., Benjamin DeButts as Ike, Lynda Gagne as a Russian girl, and Linda Burtt as an American girl. Thanks go to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Smith for the use of their barn, Mr. Linscott for the use of his truck, and Mrs. MacPherson and the class for spending so much time on the float. We received second prize. Our Senior Play, Family Circle, was the highlight of our senior year. The play was a comedy of the 1920 era. The costumes we wore were something we will never forget. Thanks to the expert direction of Miss Ward and out- standing acting by Edith Twombly and James Sherman, the play was a complete success. Our candidates for king and queen for the third annual Coronation Ball were Benjamin DeButts and Cynthia Stevens. For the second year we took the crown, thanks to the efforts of our salesmen. This year Linda Burtt, Bruce Linscott, and James Jordan were our repre- sentatives in the annual Woman's Club Essay Contest. Bruce Linscott won second prize with his essay, The Story of Flight, and Linda Burtt took third prize with her essay, School Crisis. Representing our class in the sports were; Basketball: Bruce Linscott, James Jordan, James Sherman; Soccer: James Jordan, Bruce Linscott,
