JUNIOR CLASS First row: Lorraine DeButts, Geraldine Twombly, Mary Heath, Frank Lovely, Edward Bryant, Barbara DeMeritt, Anne Witham, Reta Sheppard Second row: Barbara Corbett, Shirley Young, Virginia Wood, Connie Mifflin, Barbara Pender, Gloria Twombly, Miss Ward, class advisor Third row: Robert Wentworth, Alburt Burtt, Alfred Bean, James Corbin, Richard Sawyer, John O’Connor, Arthur Slade, Roger Witham TRI-HI-Y Club News In October the initiation was held for seven new members. Miss Jo Weckwerth spoke on “Ideas lor Teen parties.” In November a square dance for the school was held with Guy Mann as caller. In Jan- uary a Cosmetic Party was held with Mrs. Alma Kalis showing the proper use of cosmetics. In February Prof. G. R. Johnson spoke on “Religious Customs of the World.” In March slides of Deerfield were shown by Mr. Joseph Anderson. April brought Career Night and speakers were from the Commercial field, Physical Education, Military Service, and Interior Decoration. In May we will hold the Installation of Officers. Projects for the year have been to distribute Christmas candles to shut-ins, to send girls to the Older Girls’ Conference at Conway and to the Youth and Government Program at Concord. We have printed formal rituals for each officer and made table covers with the club em- blem stenciled on them. We have also started a collection of dance records, to be available at lunch periods and at socials.
