O. D. To Carol we give a big fat E, To make her the shame of her family; All through school you’ve got straight A’s, But this is the end of your high school days. To Nonie we give this little doll. To practice on this coming fall; A fine nurse I’m sure you’ll be, Just as long as you don’t practice on me. To Marion we give this little ring, In hopes that Buddy will get in the swing; But we also hope that he won’t be late, For that very, very important date. A half a dollar we give to Tate, Although it may seem kind of late To add an inch to his corduroys. And dress up now like the bigger boys. For Dee Dee there’s a bike for two, And Shirley can no longer go with you; We hope that Shirley can take this slam, But two women are awful rough on a man. To Faye we give this little fish pole, To use on her beaus when she’s out on a stroll; In hopes she’ll catch either Buster or Skip, Whoever it is, he’ll sure be a pip! To Big we give this little chair, To carry with him everywhere; In case your girl is kind of short, This chair will help her out a lot. To Dick we give this little red hankie, So lipstick won’t show and mommie won’t spankie; Of lipstick there’ll never be a trace, Only on your mind and not on your face.

CLASS PROPHECY MASTER OF CEREMONIES - Welcome to the tenth reunion of the class of ’54 of Coe-Brown Northwood Academy. Wouldn’t it be fun to know what each one is doing? As we call on each member, will he please stand and I’ll give the information which we have on them. First of all, we would like to present Carol Hammerstrom, who was the presi- dent of the class. Carol is now Superintendent of Nurses at the Elliot Hospital. She has just been given an award for a new chemical she discovered that will kill all kinds of bacteria. Why, here is Faye Rollins! Hi, Faye! We hear that Faye is living up to the old saying that private secretaries sit on their boss’s knee. Faye is speedy behind the typewriter but it must be her boss, Lyman Hammons, who keeps her busy. Is that right, Faye? Here is Paul O’Neal who owns his own business and who is a skilled electri- cian. He is top man working on the rocket ship which is leaving this week for the moon. Mary Lou Demmons — Mary Lou is teaching first grade in Claremont. She is very busy with her little ducklings but not too busy to have a little spare time for the Navy. Oh, yes, here is Marion Pease, who is leading a very snappy life. She has added another name to hers. Marion is now known as Mrs. Marion Pease Rollins. She and her hubby, Willis Rollins, have their own Well Drilling business and she, by the way, is top secretary. This is Richard Young who is a skilled carpenter. Richard has just remodeled Coe-Brown Northwood Academy and the President of the United States has asked him to do a rush job on his home at the White House. Is that right? If not, please correct me. Here is the head nurse of the United States Marines, Norene Holmes. Norene lias just returned from Russia where her new medicine saved many service men’s lives. Is Dorothea Rollins here? We understand she is the principal of all grade schools in New York. Last week she received the reward as “The Best Teacher cf the Year,” by the Parents. Incidentally, the children think so, too. And last, but by no means least, is Bigelow Wood. He is a skilled draftsman and has just drawn up a set of plans for the making of the submarine, “The Killer,” which will make Bigelow the outstanding man of the year. While the class is talking over old memories, we will leave them with the hope that they will succeed in their ambitions. 13
