Cody's wrestling team started with losses to Powell and Worland and came back to beat Lander, Casper, Lovell, and Greybull. This finished the first half of the season and they had only 5 matches left to end the season. They went on to beat Lovell and Riverton and Thermopolis but fell to defeat when they met Worland. In the last meet of the season, the Cody Broncs gave Powell a defeat. In district meet held in Riverton this year, Cody placed five men and this entitled them to go to the state meet held in Laramie. Wrestling is a new and up and coming sport and in few years you will see it is just as popular as the other sports. Do as he says, Gail.

Louie goes over the hurdles. .ra TRACK SEASON The 1960 track team, well coached by Shad Martoglio, made an outstanding showing this year by winning 10 out of 12 meets. ln the other two meets Cody placed in the top 4 places. At district meet held in Powell, Cody tied for lst place with Riverton and with the flip of the coin Cody took 2nd place. High point man for the district meet was our own Louis Pfrangle with 31 points. This made a total of 106 points for the junior thin-clad for the year. Cody was represented at the state meet in Casper by 6 boys: Louie Pfrangle, Tom Roach, Tom Thompson, Jim Walker, David Flowers and Chip Ridgway. At the state meet Cody finished in 2nd place with Torrington first. Cody boys broke 2 records when Lottie Pfrangle ran the 100 yard dash in 9. 9 sec- onds for a new record and when the relay team ran the 880 relay in 1:34. 4 for a new record. The boys in the relay team were Pfrangle, Roach, Thompson and Flowers. Chip Ridgway was 5th in the discus throw. Pfrangle not only won the broad jump but was also second in the 220 and tied for second in the high jump. With only 5 boys graduating as seniors we should have another record-breaking team next year.
