Twirlers and Flag Girls Add Flash to Performances The first performance of the Coconino High School Marching Band was a combination of quality music, a glowing performance by the twirlers and an impressive performance by the flag girls, an added attraction to pregame and halftime shows . The performances by the flag girls and twirlers was not confined to a CHS audience. They accompanied the band on a trip to the state fair in October and later during the football season to the game against Snowflake. The flag girls and twirlers were led to successful performancesby their sponsor, lVls. Stuart. A new combination of a Coconino and Flagstaff orchestra was made as a result of rather small groups at each school. Under the direction of lVlr. Nebel, the orchestra presented a wide and entertaining variety of music in a performance November 15 . Twirlers: Lorraine Sedillo, Betty Strivings. Orchestra: lLeft to Rightl Diane Cancino, Rex Stephans, Danielle Hoelzel, Sidney Williams, Phillip Szoellos, A Margaret Langley, Carl Peterson, Dana Squire, David Stephans, Brian Crawforth, Kerry Meeks. 0 Twirlers and Flag Girls sponsor, Ms. Stuart.
