Industriousness The United States was able to progress at such a rapid pace due to the industriousness of its people. This trait of industriousness implies hard work and diligence. This frequently means working overtime, volunteering for jobs, and doing one's best and taking pride on any job. At C. H. S., many students parti- cipate in activities that require extra work.
