Cheerleaders kept the Arab spirit going strong. They did a variety of routines to entertain our student body at games and rallies. It all began when ten girls were selected by the student body, not counting the four Freshmen who were selected by a group of judges. There are hve Varsity Cheerleaders, four J.V. and four Frosh. 1 Delilah and Kara doing one of their stunts. 2 Co-Heads forthe Varsity Cheerleaders are lVlilissa Ahrens and Vickie Armendariz. 3 Cheer and Song look on with the crowd. 4 JV Cheerleaders practicing before a game. 5 We really are I ll 6 Freshmen Cheerleaders from left to right are Linda Otton, Cathy Farrister, Crystal Jackson, and Debbie Lopez. 7 Christina may be small but has a lot of spirit. 8 Freshmen Cheerleaders show spirit during a Basketball Game, 9 J.V. Cheerleaders say Hello! Songleaders and Mascot The squad contains seven girls. During the summer they went to spirit camp at U.C.R. They received a trophy for being the hardest workers and they also vvon the spirit stick which they brought back vvith them. Miss Fain is the adviser of the Songleaders, lVIascot and Cheerleaders. 48 Sports
