Ms. Phyllis Fain Girls' P.E. Pep Squad Advisor Mrs. Cherryl Lyons Girls' P.E. Girls' Var. Club Advisor A Place to Sweat As most of us know P.E. is one subject most people don't like. They make you swim in the winter and run in the summer. This year we have two new P.E. teachers on campus: Mrs. at is i QW Ms. Pam Miller Gymnastics Gymnastics Club Advisor Mrs, Kenna Ramirez Slimnastics Var. Basketball Coach Cherryl Lyons and Miss Phyllis Fain. Mrs. Lyons is a graduate of C.V. High and has taught at Indio High where Miss Fain was her student. Among the P.E. courses offered during the year are Slimnastics, Gymnastics, Dancing, Basketball, Softball, Football, Soccer, Scuba Diving, Self-Defense, and Swimming. Every single P.E. teacher is also a coach, so those people that are involved in athletics will get to know these 3 teachers very well and will hnd out that they are nice people. iii' f f i . Art, Art I, Crafts Art Club Advisor Mr. Guillermo Mendoza Math, Guitar, Band Band Club, CV Band Boosters Club Mrs. Cheryl Ward Adv. Ceramics, Art 1B and 1A Art Club Advisor The Industrial Arts and Music Departments are fun classes to a lot of students but for the more serious students they are a place to exhibit their works and further their talents. The Art Department has a new kiln, which is an oven to bake and glaze the clay that is thrown on the wheel or used in hand molding. This year Band students are allowed to take both marching and instrument training. The Industrial Art Department didn't get any new equipment this year but they did get a few new teachers. Added to the CV staff: Mr. Bill Fitzgibbons teaches Woodshop, Mr. Hal Jensen has taken over the printshop, and Mr. Jerry Finley is the Agriculture teacher. 8.
