DEDICATIO Mr. Merle Flamm We, the Senior Class of '56, are proud to present The 1956 Courier to Mr. Merle Flamm, one of our class advisors, whom we feel has done very much to make these four years in high school ones that We will long remember and cherish. Mr. Flamm was born in Berlin, Pennsylvania, and graduated from the High school there. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ashland College, his Master's Degree from the University of Michigan and he has done graduate Work at Western Reserve University and Ohio State University. After completing his formal education he served in the United States Air Force overseas for three years. Before coming to Clyde, Mr. Flamm taught at Wauseon. High School. He also served as an instructor in the Physics Departments of Ohio State Uni- versity and Bowling Green State University. He spends his leisure time on his collection of classical records, gardening, photography and traveling. In closing we, the Seniors, would again like to express our thanks to Mr. Flamm, not only for the conscientious manner in which he presents subject matter in the classroomy but, also for the leadership and guidance which he has shown as our Class Sponsor. We hope that many future classesof Clyde High School will be fortunate enough to have the opportunity to have Mr. Flamm as a teacher and sponsor.

PERINTENDENT Virgil .L Briegel lt is with pride and appreciation that We look to our superintendent, Mr. Briegel. His unusual qualities of leadership and understanding are constantly being put to use, both to improve the Clyde school system, and to solve the numerous problems confronting the individual student. His keen interest in present day needs, and his thoughtful consideration ot future problems is making, and Will continue to make our school system a progressive and effici- ent institution. Under this type of leadership the community can proudly look to their school as the center of community guidance and achievement.
