ont to sit downstairs right next to the big shot Seniors. When we were Sophomores, we elected Ruben Barrios for his second term.os President. Vince Galvani was elected Vice Presi' dentg Janyce Johnson, Secretary- Treasurerp Bill Henrichs, Boys' Athletic Managerg Liz Scott, Girls' Athletic Managerg and Cynthia Medley and Randeau Fenner, Yell Leaders. By this time we were begin' ning to think about making mon- ey for our Junior and Senior years, These years would be our most expensive ones. During the year we held the Sophomore Sock Hop and sponsored an all' school 'roller skating party. Toward the end of the year, we ordered our class rings, with ci 55.00 deposit. We were to receive them at the beginning of our Junior year. That year was the first time that the class of '55 was given the opportunity to show its tal- ent in a class assembly, present- ed to the entire Student Body. Judi Brase and Connie Browning went over big when they did the Charleston, The audience went into an uproar when Nick Gold- man performed lt's in the Book. Other great acts, include ing the first appearance of The Squires, helped to make the assembly a success. At the beginning of our Jun- ior year, we realized what it was to have the ex-Seniors miss- ing. We didn't feel very bad about it, though, since their ab- sence made us upper classmen. 1955 24 fl' , 'lf we-gy WW, ,. .sxitil James Bridges . , F.F.A. con- Jerry Britton . . woodshop .
