May we think of the years spent at Clintwood High School as the period of preparation for the opportunities that lie before us. Many people deserve our thanks and appreciation. Our parents have had so large a part in making our school years happy ones. You have guided us so we might recognize the worthier things of life. To our Miss Evelyn Yates we are truly grateful for her efficiency, her willingness, and her courtesy. So to our class, our school, parents, teachers, and friends, we present the Green Knight of 1962. Scjioof C Si on 9 Loyal and True Loyal and true, we pledge allegiance to you. This is our motto, We are One for all and all for Clintwood High School . Here ' s to our school long and high may she rule. Forever more you will find us always loyal and true. Dedication May we, the class of 1962 stand constantly as a symbol of service to the community and to the government because you, Mr. Skeen, dedicated yourself to helping us. You have proved to be not only a great principal and teacher, but also a leader of young people. 6 Principal ' s Message to Class of 1962 From the day you entered the eighth grade I have observed the members of the class, and I have been impressed with your attitude and cooperative spirit. I believe that each of you has a real contribution to make to your nation. While guiding you in the ways of learning, we have en- deavored to impart to you the high principles and ideals on which to build a successful life. I recall a telling sentence made by a speaker that I have never forgotten, he said, Youth should saddle itself with the burden of restraint so that age may never feel the misery of remorse . May your life be rich in service to God and your fellow- man. fcuuJ Ztf- Wee ' Mr. Paul W. Skeen . . . Principal C71o ' ministration asst, principal . . . Howard Deel secretary . . .
