It played at the football games and took part in the Labor Day parade, the Christmas parade, and the Tobacco Festival. Drum Major and Director 56 Mr. Ben F. Vickers came to our school from Rockville, Maryland. The fruit of his good works was shown in the annual spring con- cert. SCHOOL BAND Several of the band members tried out for All- State Band. He attends Clintwood Baptist Church, is a member of the Clintwood Voluntary Fire Department, an avid fisherman and a fair golfer. For the past twelve seasons, he has had 247 victories and 49 losses. His team holds two State Championships and six District Championships.
