FFA makes learning more interesting through real life experiences. Unlike normal educational programs, you are not just part of an audience. You get a piece of the action. The Clinton FFA Chapter is one the many across the U.S. that is learning by doing. The Clin- ton Chapter takes part in many Judg- ing Contests throughout the year in leadership and also skills. They also have the annual FFA Rodeo each year that takes place in May. Above: Sherri Ware-FFA Sweetheart Near left £ far left: The parliamentary team finds time to goof off during practice. 29

Susan Shell was chosen as a National Officer candidate. Many changes were made in FHA this year. The main change was a new sponsor. The re- duction of officers from 11-8 was another ma- jor difference. FHA started its year in July when the offi- cers held planning meetings. The Student Body was decided upon as a theme for the year. Participation in these activities, which ranged from a Student Body Work Shop to the annual Mother Daughter Banquet, was excel- lent. FHA was involved in a new project this year, which raised money for the Arkansas Children Hospital, called There's No Place Like Home-A Miracle Mile Away . To raise money for this project our chapter sold var ious types of food through the International Food Sales. FHA was one of the most active clubs on campus and although many changes have tak- en place in FHA. we have had an exceptionally successful year. The Library Club keeps things running smoothly. They check out books to peo- ple. put them back on the shelves when they are returned, and write over dues. Besides keeping the books in order, the library assistants help students find what they need. They look up books in the card catalog and show students how to find needed reference materials. The aids also keep the library neat and clean by dusting and polishing the furniture. The Library Club has proven to be a necessary part of C.H.S.
